Joachim Gerlach’s research on Long COVID represents a significant contribution to our understanding of this complex post-viral disease. His account, which links persistent infection, autoimmunity and vascular pathologies, thus provides a comprehensive framework for understanding Long COVID.
The emphasis on the multisystemic nature of Long COVID and the economic and public health implications underscore the importance of continued research in this area. Gerlach’s framework for prioritising treatments thus provides practical guidance for clinicians in a multimodal approach, including in conjunction with Inuspheresis, while his ongoing international research projects are helping to further deepen our understanding of this challenging condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
